She then moved on to big ticket projects starting with MI6 agent Ilsa Faust in the action spy film Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015) and its sequel Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018). In 2017 she starred in The Greatest Showman as Jenny Lind and played supporting roles in the comedy-drama Florence Foster Jenkins (2016), the mystery thriller The Girl on the Train (2016), and the science fiction film Men in Black: International (2019).
Though Ferguson loved acting she was not always sure that was what she wanted to do. Therefore she tried her hands in working at a daycare centre, as a nanny, at a jewellery shop, at a shoe shop and at a Korean restaurant. She is also an avid dancer having learnt the forms- ballet, tap-dancing, jazz, street funk and tango. She also taught Argentine Tango professionally for a few years.
Her most recent works include co-starring in Doctor Sleep, the adaptation of Stephen King’s novel of the same name. She is set to play Lady Jessica in Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Dune, set for 2020. She has two children and is married to her long time partner Rory.
