Right now, Kaley Cuoco is doing pretty well. She was on The Big Bang Theory for twelve years, a popular comedy show. Kaley is the voice of the title character in the hit animated show Harley Quinn, which has been picked up for a third season and is loved by critics.
She got cast as Hollywood legend Doris Day in an upcoming biopic and signed a new deal with HBO that makes her even more of a star there. But Kaley Cuoco says she isn’t too interested in returning to her most famous and well-received project, The Flight Attendant on HBO Max.
In an interview with People, Kaley Cuoco said there are no plans for a third season. This is surprising since season two of The Flight Attendant became the most-streamed show in the United States last month.
Popularity is becoming increasingly important in how long a streaming show will last. With Warner Bros.’ HBO Max, Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, and many others (sorry, Paramount+) all trying to be the best streaming service, it’s a bit strange that a top-rated show would decide to end.
After being stuck in the same role for twelve seasons on The Big Bang Theory. Kaley Cuoco might be hesitant to stay on a project for a long time. Even though there is interest in the third season of her hit show. Kaley Cuoco says that “the plane has landed” for her.
Excellent use of metaphors, Ms. Cuoco. She also thinks that the show’s second season did an excellent job of ending the story and wrapping up the plot. If the quality is good enough, there is always the chance to return.
It doesn’t sound like Kaley Cuoco wants to come back to The Flight Attendant but to be fair. The second season just ended, and she seems to have a lot going on.
The Flight Attendant debuted on HBO Max in 2020 with Kaley Cuoco as Cassie Bowden, a self-destructive, alcoholic airline worker who wakes up in Bangkok next to the body of a one-night stand. Don’t worry. It’s a comedy.
In the second season, Kaley Cuoco worked on getting sober and as a field asset for the CIA. She also ran into gruesome corpses that she had a strange connection.
The Flight Attendant is led by Kaley Cuoco and has a solid supporting cast, including legendary actor Rosie Perez (whom they had to beg to join), Zosia Mamet from Girls, and Michiel Huisman as a dead body.
The future of Kaley Cuoco’s role on the show sounds pretty uncertain. But it sounds like things are pretty set for now. We could always get a spin-off show with the rest of the cast. So be on the lookout for The Flight Attendant: Jetlag Nights.
