In this article, we will discuss Irish professional wrestler and actor Rebecca Quin. Becky Lynch is the ring name of her. She is presently signed to ‘WWE’ and is a two times’ SmackDown Women’s Champion.’
Quin was born on January 30, 1987, in Limerick, Republic of Ireland. Since childhood, she was passionate about wrestling and used to watch wrestling matches along with her brother. Her brother later wrestled under the name ‘Gonzo de Mondo.’
While growing up, she enjoyed horse riding, swimming, and basketball. After schooling, she enrolled for higher studies in philosophy, history, and politics but gave up the lessons at 17 as she did not find it interesting.
After five months of training, Quin made her professional debut with the ring name ‘Rebecca Knox.’ She also received training at ‘NWA UK Hammerlock.’
She formed a tag team with her brother in ‘Mixed Tag Team’ matches and participated in wrestling contests in Ireland during her career. Later she extended her arena and started participating in the European wrestling circuit as well.
Starting with Ireland, she traveled the world, participating in various championships. Her unique wrestling skills, resilience, and determination made her ‘World Queens of Champion’ and ‘SuperGirl Wrestling Champion.’
Before signing with ‘WWE,’ she wrestled on the independent circuit under the ring name ‘Rebecca Knox,’ but an injury suffered during a ‘German Stampede’ match resulted in a career setback.
During this time, she performed in several plays and later joined ‘NXT’ in 2013. Quin won the inaugural crown of ‘SmackDown Women’s Champion’ at ‘Backlash 2016’ by beating the ‘Six-pack Elimination Challenge.’
She achieved a record by winning the same title for the second time in September 2018. In her personal life, Quin appeared in a 2013 episode of ‘Viking’ and also made an appearance in ‘The Marine 6: Close Quarters.’ Her character, ‘Lynch,’ appears in three video games.
