WWE has announced a television special for its RAW premiere which is set to air next year, in 2021. Diva Mickie James is excited to appear in it with WWE Hall of Famers. Born on August 31 , 1979, James is an American professional wrestler, singer and model, working with WWE’s brand ‘Raw’. She wrestling career began in 1999. She initially worked in the independent circuit as a valet but drew countrywide attention while working with NWA: Total Nonstop Action. She debuted in WWE in 2005 and is a six-time champion.
James was born in Richmond, Virginia, US, to Stuart James and Sandra Knuckles. She grew up in Montpelier. She enjoyed riding horses at her grandmother’s farm and was a tomboy. She went on to develop a keen interest in equestrian sports. She went to Patrick Henry High School till 1997. She was motivated to wrestle by her father.
James gained recognition when she was in NWA: Total Nonstop Action during June, 2002. She went on to join a stable called ‘The Gathering’ after making a few appearances, and became a part of the group’s storyline. She partook in the promotion on Clockwork Orange House of Fun matches and was the only woman to ever do so.
She debuted in WWE in 2005 and was woven into the storyline with Trish Stratus. She was crowned champion in her first WWE Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania 22. She won the title five times.
She has won her first Divas Championship as well. She returned to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling after April 2010. James is married to English wrestler Nicholas Aldis and has a son. Her net worth is $5 million.
