Ana de Armas is a Cuban-Spanish actress. She was born on April 30, 1988, in Santa Cruz del Norte, Cuba. Ana began her acting career in Spanish cinema and television before gaining international recognition.
She rose to prominence for her role as Carolina in the Spanish TV series “El Internado” (The Boarding School) from 2007 to 2010. Ana then appeared in several Spanish films, including “Mentiras y gordas” (2009) and “Blind Alley” (2011).
In 2015, Ana made her Hollywood debut in the film “Knock Knock” alongside Keanu Reeves. She gained further recognition for her portrayal of Joi, a holographic AI companion, in the science fiction film “Blade Runner 2049” (2017).
